The Cornerstone Academics Vanguard Literature Grade 11 Poetry Anthology is a complete, single-volume collection of all 36 poems studied in the Grade 11 literature program.
The poems in this anthology are about mastery and the hardest kind of passing on — the master carpenter who steps back from the bench the moment the apprentice's hand finds the rhythm without being shown; the cabinetmaker who reads letters from patrons offering commissions for grand rooms and puts them away; the craftsman whose hands have spent a lifetime shaping what now shapes other hands without asking leave. Students at the Grade 11 level are asked to read slowly, to notice what is not said, and to hold the silence in a poem as seriously as its statements.
