Designed for classical education, this comprehensive program combines original historical fiction, poetry, narration, Socratic discussion, vocabulary, literary analysis, and time-tested classical practices into a complete literature course for the oldest middle school students. Through carefully crafted stories and guided study, students develop the habits of close reading, sustained attention, moral reasoning, and serious literary engagement that prepare them for high school work.
The Grade 8 curriculum follows a Charlotte Mason–inspired rhythm of reading, narration, discussion, copywork, and memory work, with the full analytical demands appropriate for the final year of middle school: Socratic discussion questions, literary analysis exercises, and optional analytical writing prompts. Stories at this level explore broken trust and its long repair, the obligations that bind communities together, and the weight of decisions made by those nearly grown but not yet free of a household's authority.
Most families spend 30–45 minutes per day, four days per week. No additional books or materials are required — everything is included.
