The Student Workbook teaches the year through The Iron Road, an original continuing story written just for this grade. One sentence a day: look up the vocabulary word, mark the grammar, fix the errors, copy the corrected sentence. Fifteen to twenty minutes, four days a week, 36 weeks. New skills arrive one at a time through simple Know It! lessons, then stay in the daily sentences all year — mastery through practice, not tests.
