📦 Shipping Notice for Print Books
To keep shipping costs as low as possible, we recommend placing smaller print book orders whenever practical. Orders that exceed our print partner's U.S. shipping weight limit may be fulfilled from a U.K. facility, resulting in significantly higher shipping charges. If you're purchasing several print books, placing two or more smaller orders will often reduce your shipping costs.
Jan Moser's Last Lesson — Jan Moser arrives early to his school in Prague in 1621, as he always does, and lights the stove himself, as he always does — because the first warmth of the room is part of what the room is when the children arrive. He came from Moravia at twenty-two carrying his books and his methods and the conviction of young men that the right way of doing things would eventually be recognized. The story is about what remains of a teacher's work when the conditions that made the work possible are about to end.
