A student who completed Prefixes & Suffixes I knows the common building blocks of English. Prefixes & Suffixes II goes deeper — 48 more word parts drawn from Latin and Greek roots, covering the less common but high-value prefixes and suffixes that appear constantly in academic and content-area reading.
The same proven structure: two new word parts each week for 24 weeks, three modes of practice — Flashcards to learn the meaning, Quiz to test recognition, and Use It to find the prefix or suffix inside real vocabulary words and use it in context. Mastery requires three correct answers in a row; a miss brings the word part back until it's solid. Mastered word parts cycle back for spaced review.
A placement check lets students who already know some of these word parts skip ahead. Multiple students can keep separate profiles with their own progress and mastery records.
