📦 Shipping Notice for Print Books
To keep shipping costs as low as possible, we recommend placing smaller print book orders whenever practical. Orders that exceed our print partner's U.S. shipping weight limit may be fulfilled from a U.K. facility, resulting in significantly higher shipping charges. If you're purchasing several print books, placing two or more smaller orders will often reduce your shipping costs.
Prefixes & Suffixes I · 26 weeks
Fifty-three word parts over 26 weeks: the everyday prefixes and suffixes a student meets most often, then the endings -ed, -ing, -s/-es, -er and -est. Each week's parts are taught on one page and put straight to work.
Inside:
- Two new word parts most weeks, each with its meaning and how it attaches
- Four pages a week: Learn It, Build It, Use It, Put It Together
- Build words from parts, take them apart, and tell real parts from look-alikes
- Fill-in sentences the student has never seen before
- Seven reviews, plus a Midpoint Check and a Final Check
- A glossary of every word part and every word on the cards
The answer key is bound into the back of the book. There is no separate teacher's edition to buy: one book holds the student's work and everything a parent needs to check it.
Flashcards are bound into the back of the book for the student to cut out, so the cards, the workbook and the app all teach the same set.
A Cornerstone practice app for the same word parts is available separately and is entirely optional. The book is built to stand on its own, and a family that never opens the app is not missing any of the work.
