Spell It, Grade 9 Student Book · 36 weeks
High school spelling built on the same 360 words, in the same weeks, as Rich Vocabulary, Grade 9. Each week the student is tested, learns the hard spots and why they are spelled that way, practices, uses the words, and proves them on a final test. Rich Vocabulary is not needed to use it.
Goes with Rich Vocabulary, Grade 9. Spell It is the spelling companion to Rich Vocabulary: the student spells the same 360 words taught in Rich Vocabulary, Grade 9, in the same 36 weeks. In any week, the student learns what a word means in Rich Vocabulary and how to spell it in Spell It. Rich Vocabulary (the workbook or the app) is sold separately and is not required; Spell It stands on its own.

- Ten words a week, the same words and weeks as Rich Vocabulary, Grade 9
- Six pages a week: Test It!, Learn It!, Practice It!, Use It! and Prove It!
- A pretest, then each word's hard spots and the reason for them
- Write it from its meaning, build new words with endings, proofread, dictation
- Word families built on Greek and Latin roots
- A Spelling Review every four weeks, plus Midyear and Year-End Spelling Checks
- A My Words list so missed words come back until they are mastered
This is the Student Book only. The tests are read aloud from the Parent Key, sold separately or together in the Student Book + Parent Key set. A second student needs only another Student Book.
A Spell It, Grade 9 practice app is sold separately and is not included with this book. It is entirely optional: the books stand on their own, and a family that never opens the app is not missing any of the work.
