📦 Shipping Notice for Print Books
To keep shipping costs as low as possible, we recommend placing smaller print book orders whenever practical. Orders that exceed our print partner's U.S. shipping weight limit may be fulfilled from a U.K. facility, resulting in significantly higher shipping charges. If you're purchasing several print books, placing two or more smaller orders will often reduce your shipping costs.
The Last Inkwell — In 410 AD, when the Visigoths under Alaric poured through the gates of Rome, Lucius Marcellus — son of a scribe whose ink-stained hands spent a lifetime preserving the words of older ages — stands in the scriptorium as the city burns. The barbarians are feeding sacred scrolls to their fires as if they were dry twigs. Lucius has one inkwell left, a single manuscript unfinished, and not much time.
