The Star He Found — Tariq has been recording the sky for three years on his master Khalid's instructions: find al-Dabaran, record its position against the fixed stars, return the next clear night and do it again. He is eighteen and has not missed a recordable night. When he notices that one small point of light is not where it was — moving, slightly, against the fixed background — he has the question. He does not yet know whether he has the right to have found it.
